City of Los Angeles Unveils Mobile Surveillance Camera System
Los Angeles Police Department presents a system of mobile cameras deployed throughput West Valley and Topanga areas.
Reston, Va., January 17, 2013 – Wi4Net, a division of CelPlan Technologies, Inc. and a leading provider of integrated wireless broadband and surveillance solutions, today announced that the Los Angeles Police Department and City Councilman Dennis Zine unveiled today a system of portable cameras that can be moved to locations throughout the initial areas of West Valley and Topanga. Intentionally, camera locations are not disclosed to the public, and cameras can be relocated easily to any location.
The system is based on CelPlan’s FlexiVideo FV-2100 solution, making use of the 4G / LTE modem option. Furthermore, the units feature H.264 recording, 1 TB of local storage for long-term, redundant recording and battery back-up. The system includes also command centers at the West Valley and Topanga police stations.
