Wi4Net Selected to Implement Surveillance for Secure Government Facilities
Various police buildings, jails, and similar secure public safety facilities use Wi4Net nationwide to upgrade surveillance systems
Reston, Va., March 3, 2014 – Wi4Net, a division of CelPlan Technologies, Inc. and a leading provider of integrated wireless broadband and IP-based surveillance solutions, today announced that it has been selected nationwide to implement surveillance solutions for multiple secure government facilities. As antiquated analog systems need replacement, Wi4Net has been able to consult on best practice designs and solutions, using state-of-the-art IP cameras and management software.
“We had a fairly large number of cameras, but all analog, and recording capabilities were nearly non-existent,” said Michelle Robinson, Police Administrator with the Pasadena Police Department. “Our jail and police facilities function 24/7, and our security system is crucial to our operations. We selected redundancy measures at various levels, along with long-term recording requirements, and a full implementation of high resolution IP cameras.”
Recent Wi4Net implementations include the Culver City Police and Jail facilities, Pasadena Police and Jail facilities, various Ventura County Sheriff facilities, State College Police and Jail facilities, and Modesto Police and Jail facilities. The projects have unique requirements including long-term recording (which requires highly efficient encoding settings), vandal resistant solutions, audio recording, redundancy and others.
