Culver City Implements Scalable Surveillance System for Police Facilities
IP-based expandability envisioned to allow integration of future surveillance locations.
Reston, Va., November 5, 2012 – Wi4Net, a division of CelPlan Technologies, Inc. and a leading provider of integrated wireless broadband and surveillance solutions, today announced that it has completed the implementation of an IP-based surveillance solution for Culver City, which significantly expands the surveillance capabilities at the Culver City Police Department and jail facilities.
The system incorporates nearly fifty cameras, utilizing mostly newly installed IP cameras, but integrates also some existing perimeter cameras. The system features a scalable backend solution based on Genetec’s industry leading “Security Center” management platform. The back-end also provides sufficient storage to support the City’s requirement of 365 days of storage.
